Personally, I was very confused by this assignment. I ended up googling “big captions” to get a better understanding of what I was supposed to be doing. I may have taken this assignment a little seriously, but I did not like it. Almost every example I saw included people taking a very serious picture and trying to make it funny or turn into something that it was not. I did not think this was right at all. There are so many issues this world has, and we need to embrace those. We need to know what’s going on. There are enough funny elements in this world; we do not need to take serious issues and try to make them funny. I visited the Boston Globe website as suggested. There were some funny and happy pictures on here; however, a lot of them revolved around serious issues our country and other countries are having. I do have to say I loved scrolling the pictures! There was so much content and varying emotions. I decided to make my Big Caption Meme with a picture of Police Officer Staco during a “Dance with a cop” challenge. I loved this image because it just looked like so much fun!
