Hi everyone! My name is Ariella and I run this blog, Can You Swim in a Sea of Plastic? I am a senior in college studying both marine biology and elementary/ secondary education in southern Maine.

I decided to combine both my loves, environmental protection and teaching, to start this blog. Plastic pollution has become a well known issue over the past few years. Not only is this plastic pollution destroying beautiful landscapes, but it is also killing important wildlife. This blog will go into different aspects of plastic pollution. We all know that there is abundance of plastic in our aquatic and terrestrial environments, but just how bad is this plastic issue? What exactly is it causing? How will it affects? What can we do? These are all questions I hope to answer. There is so much we all could learn, so lets take this opportunity to learn about plastic pollution in depth together.
